DESCRIPTION:$495.00\n\n\n\n\nDESCRIPTION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo renew Supervisor SST cards\, workers must complete 16 – hours of refresher training\, in compliance with Local Law 196 and the NYC Building Code. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTOPICS INCLUDE\n\n\n\n• 8 Hour Site Safety\n• 8 Hour Fall Prevention \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOBJECTIVES\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRecognize\, avoid and prevent fall hazards.\nBe aware of regulatory safety requirements associated with falls\, including OSHA’s Subpart M.\nLearn how to navigate the DOB website to select appropriate Building Codes\, New York City Rules\, Bulletins and applications.\nIdentify the rules and regulations that were promulgated after serious construction accidents in New York City.\nChoose safe work practices at their construction sites based on prudent decision-making.\nDifferentiate between OSHA standards and Chapter 33.\nUnderstand code requirements for construction in NYC including standpipes\, elevators\, protections\, sheds\, stairs\, egress\, notifications\, etc.\nUnderstand Local Law 196\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE MATERIALS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course consists of several different components which include power point presentations\, lectures\, class discussions and participation with hands on demonstrations. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPREREQUISITES\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMust have a valid Site Safety Training (SST) card in compliance with Local Law 196 and the NYC Building Code.
