DESCRIPTION:$295.00\n\n\n\n\nDESCRIPTION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course along with the OSHA 30 hour card are required for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training card – Worker. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTOPICS INCLUDE\n\n\n\n\nNew General Industry Walking Working Surfaces and Fall Protection Standard.\nBackground of Local Law 196.\nFall Protection options.\nRope descent systems.\nLadder safety.\nTraining requirements.\nGuardrails\, netting and hole covers.\nSlips\, Trips & Falls.\nStatistics.\nStigma and drugs.\nOccupational statistics.\nSigns and symptoms of abuse.\nPhysical symptoms.\nDrug and alcohol effects in the workplace.\nPrevention of drug and alcohol in the workplace.\nWhy do some people become addicted to drugs while others don’t?\nDrug and alcohol financial effects.\nBehavioral signs.\nHealth effects.\nAdverse synergistic use of drugs along with alcohol.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOBJECTIVES\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBe generally familiar with terms associated with falls in construction.\nRecognize\, avoid and prevent fall hazards.\nBe aware of regulatory safety requirements associated with falls\, including OSHA’s Subpart M.\nLearn how to make informed decisions when working at heights.\nBe familiar with adverse effects of drug and alcohol in the workplace.\nList and identity the consequences of drug and/or alcohol use and abuse.\nRecognize problems associated with substance dependency.\nRecognize and understand issues of chemical dependence that may adversely affect the lives of others.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE MATERIALS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill be distributed during course. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPREREQUISITES\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are no pre-requisites for  this course.
